What is Ferro Substra Cleaner?
With the Ferro Substra Cleaner, you have a cleaning agent for your inert substrates(hydro). When reusing inert substrates such as mapito, rock wool, clay granules and so on, you have to deal with contamination of the substrate in the form of the growth of plant pathogenic (hostile) bacteria, moulds (especially Pythium, better known as root rot), viruses, slime formation, precipitation and crystallisation of salts and so on. To prevent these problems, Ferro Substra Cleaner is the solution. Use this product to rinse your substrate between crops.
Substra Cleaner kills all plant pathogenic bacteria, fungi and viruses in the substrate. After rinsing with Substra Cleaner, let the substrate rest for 24 hours, after these 24 hours you can fill the substrate with a nutrient solution. Substra Cleaner consists of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and breaks down to water (H2O) and oxygen (O2) within 24 hours, which is beneficial for the young crop to sprout with its roots.
Usage and Dosage
- Rinse the substrate with warm water at 50 to 60 °C.
- Make sure the pH is between 5.4 and 6.0.
- Fill a container with water, for every 10 liters of substrate approximately 3 liters.
- Finally add the Substra Cleaner.
- Use 25 ml Substra Cleaner for every 10 liters of water.
