CO2 ~ Growing with CO2 increases yield

Cultivation with CO2

CO2 is actually an indispensable thing in your cultivation. Plants absorb this when they are awake and at night they do not use it. Therefore, ways are often devised to give plants a dose of CO2 only during the day. Each crop needs its own amount of CO2. Depending on what you are growing, look online for the right advice regarding the PPM percentage you are going to give the plant. PPM is the indication of the amount of CO2 in the room.

There are several ways to regulate this. So you can work with complete CO2 heaters, CO2 Bags, Airbomz or CO2 TABS. Depending on how big your grow space is, you can see what suits you best.

CO2

What does CO2 do to your crop?

By means of sunlight (photosynthesis) the plant converts CO2 into oxygen and plant biomass so that a better root system can develop and more leaves can develop. CO2 is absorbed through the leaves. This through the stomata on the leaves. The absorption of nutrients will also be faster because of this, which means that you can raise the EC in your schedule. Note that with a too high EC the plants will stagnate.

PPM, or parts per million, can be measured with different meters. There are CO2 meters that hang continuously in the room, CO2 meters that also directly control the CO2 emission from your stoves and portable CO2 meters. Again, this depends on your own requirements.

Caution! As described above, it seems as if CO2 is only positive. Too much of anything is never good and neither is CO2. Prolonged exposure to CO2 can stagnate photosynthesis in the plant, which means that the plant will produce smaller leaves and thus absorb less sunlight. This has a domino effect for the rest of the plant.
