Terra Aquatica formerly GHE, Terra Aquatica is a manufacturer of fertilizers used in hydroponics and was founded in 1994 in France. The founders of Terra Aquatica are William Texier and Noucetta Kehdi, they received international recognition for their hydroponic farm, the White Owl Waterfarm. At this farm, they grew crops that were served by Michelin-starred restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s.

William has been innovating from the beginning; in addition to innovating, Terra Aquatica started developing new products and methods. Terra Aquatica wanted to combine the power of hydroponic technology with the qualities and ecological sensitivities of biological methods, these have now become just as important. Wiliiam and Noucetta teamed up to pioneer new techniques for modern agriculture, Terra Aquatica uses only the purest fertilizers available, many of them food grade that are combined with the purest organic ingredients.

Terra Aquatica's technologies

As soon as a new product comes on the market that is unique to modern agriculture, it often leads to a new way of thinking when it comes to nutritional solutions. Wiliiam and Noucetta already knew that life is symbiotic; they wanted to realize this with plant nutrition as well. As a result, they formulated products that made it possible to produce living nutrient solutions. This was a new step in agricultural technology where plants and their environment were carefully integrated into a fully living system.

Such a fully living system is more than hydroponics and more than an organic crop, it is hybrid. Hydride means that it, brings together the best of both worlds. Pesticides are not necessary when your crop shares the environment with beneficial organisms that protect and defend your crop. Most modern commercial farmers use harsh chemical ingredients, these cannot be applied in a living system as Terra Aquatica has developed. Only pure and compatible ingredients and formulation methods make the living system of symbiotic cultivation possible. To describe and explain this new cultivation method, William and Noucetta coined the term "Bioponic," a concept now being explored around the world.
