Natural pine bark
Floragard Pine Bark Coarse is natural mulch, consisting of pure pine bark. Due to its large particle size – 25-40 mm, it serves as decorative coverage for garden beds, planting zones, and other suitable outdoor surfaces. Its natural colour and composition give the garden a Mediterranean touch.
Soil protection
In addition to preventing unwanted weed growth, the bark serves as protection against soil drying, erosion and extreme temperature changes. Mulch layer allows the soil to conserve moisture, minimizing the need for regular watering in optimal conditions.
Application
Prior to applying mulch, it is necessary to eliminate existing weeds and loosen the soil evenly. In case of bed and planting areas, the use of Floragard Pine Bark Coarse is recommended in a thickness of approximately 5-7 cm. For garden paths and park areas, a thicker mulch layer of 10-15 cm is advised.
Sustainable mulch layer
Due to natural decomposition process, the mulch layer should be renewed after 2-3 years. Temporary fungal growth in moist conditions is a natural process, which does not cause any damage to plants.
