LED Lampen ~ Grow lights that are Energy Efficient

Grow with an LED Light

Do you want to buy a LED light? We have a wide range of LED lights in the webshop, for everyone's needs there is an LED grow light. These energy efficient LED grow lights are not inferior to other grow lights. A LED grow light is basically "Plug & Play", the plug in the socket and the lamp lights up.

Previously HPS lighting was mainly used in horticulture, nowadays this is slowly changing to LED grow lights. This is partly because LED grow lights are constantly being further developed. A LED grow light is composed of a group of LEDs or 'light emitting diodes' and the lifespan of such a lamp is on average 10 times longer than HPS.

Saving on your energy bill

A traditional HPS grow light uses much more energy compared to a LED grow light, with a LED grow light you can save up to 50% energy, this saves in the long run a lot in your wallet. Yet there are many people who continue to grow in the traditional way because they have always been told, light is weight. Where most people think of the more wattage the more yield but nothing could be further from the truth.

Nowadays an HPS grow light can be replaced with an LED grow light when it comes to yields. For example, if you have a 200 watt LED grow light this is comparable to a 400 HPS light. The only thing that is very important though is the efficiency in µmol/J, this value indicates the amount of light released per watt. The higher the value the better the artificial light is.

Besides being energy efficient these grow lights have an additional advantage, an LED grow light emits much less heat than an HPS light. Because it gets much less hot in your grow room, you can turn down your extraction system or even take a smaller version that uses less energy.
