Facilitate your growing with a planting tray

A Planting Tray is often used for watering or keeping your growing areas clean. This is very ideal as these trays are made of plastic and thus will not break down easily and are also easy to keep clean. By using a planting tray you will make maintaining your growing much easier. Often an ebb and flow system is applied to the planting tray. This simply means:

Running water into the planting tray, absorbing the water needed and then removing the remaining water from the planting tray using a submersible pump. This is a common system, especially with the Garland planting tray. The planting tray is available in the following sizes:

  • 80cm x 80cm = 76.8L
  • 100 x 100cm = 100L
  • 120cm x 120cm = 120L

We also have Danish bottoms in the assortment. This is fairly similar only the dimensions are different. The danish bottoms also have slots for the supply and drainage of the water. Holes can also be made for connecting water hoses to make automation easier. The planting tray is widely used in hydroponics. The dimensions of the planting tray are actually tailored for the use of rock wool slabs or coconut slabs. By means of drippers or sprinklers it is easy to water the plants and the excess water runs out of the planting tray through the gullies.   • 110cm x 63.5cm

  • 204cm x 33cm

Note! With these systems, it is wise to check your hoses and planting tray for any blockages after each round. This will in fact stagen the next harvest considerably. To keep your hoses clean you can add several things to your nutrition. Check your nutrient line for this, it will undoubtedly have a bottle on it that reduces blockages. To use these systems you do need coco/hydro nutrition. This will sometimes differ from the soil schedules!
