Dimmer for the Sanlight EVO
With the Sanlight Magnetic Dimmer you can dim your Sanlight EVO grow lights from 40% to 100% of their power. The Sanlight EVO grow lights are equipped with a contact to which you can connect this dimmer directly and with the supplied key you can set the power to 40, 60, 80 or 100% of the total power of the lamp. The number of green lights on the dimmer indicates the current set power.
- 3 green lights: 100% power
- 2 green lights: 80% power
- 1 green light: 60% power
- No light: 40% power.
This dimmer also has an additional function, namely the 'sunrise simulation'. This means that the lamp when turned on by the timer in a period of 5 minutes slowly builds up to the set power. An orange LED on the dimmer indicates that this function is enabled.
When do you start dimming?
Plants have less need of light when they are young and small. Often a lot of light at this stage is actually a stress factor. As your plants grow larger you can increase the amount of light. This is not only better for your plants but you also save on electricity. It also gives you the opportunity to control the size of the plant. If your plants remain too small you can temporarily reduce the amount of light to make them stretch. If they get too big you can give them more light. The Sanlight dimmer enables you to dose the amount of light.
