Automatic watering with the G-tools 3-in-1 Irrigation System
With the G-tools 3-in-1 Irrigation System you have a system that can be used as a drip system, ebb & flow system and a hydroponics system. With this system you can either grow your plants in pots with soil, coco or completely without a medium. Growing with a watering system has many advantages. It gives you the freedom to be away from home a little longer and it increases your yields. Your plants will never run dry and will always be provided with their daily dose of water and nutrition.
Drip system
A drip irrigation system is very useful when you are growing only a few larger plants in pots with soil. The plants are watered from above. When used as a drip irrigation system, the supply pump is connected to a system of drippers. When the pump is turned on by an included timer, water with nutrition is pumped to each individual plant on the drip tray. Water leaking from the bottom of the pots runs back to the reservoir. A secure closed system with no chance of leaks.
Ebb and Flow System
When used as an ebb & flow system, the feed pump is connected to the bottom of the drip tray on which the potted plants are placed. When the pump is turned on by a timer, a layer of water containing nutrients is pumped into the drip tray. When the pump is turned off again, the water flows back to the water reservoir under the table by gravity. The drainage channels in the drip tray ensure that it dries nicely after each watering and the plants do not stand with their feet in a puddle of water. The plants absorb the water through the holes in the bottom of the pot.
Hydroponic System
Hydroponics means "growing plants in water." All necessary nutrients are added to the water. There is no medium involved. So no more lugging bags of soil around.
When used as a hydroponics growing system, the lid is placed on the drip tray. In the lid there are holes where the plants are placed in baskets (netcups). From the water tank water with nutrition is pumped into the drip tray 24 hours a day. When there is a 4 cm layer of water in the drip tray, the excess water runs back to the water tank under the table via an overflow. In this growing method the roots of the plants are suspended in a continuous circulating flow of oxygenated water with nutrition.
Safety
The 3 in 1 growing system is a closed and safe system with no risk of leaks. The drip tray never holds more water than the contents of the water tank. So when the pump stops for some reason the backflowing water can never overflow the water tank. Because it is a closed system there is no light falling on the water, so you don't have to worry about algae growth in the water either.
